Highline Medical Services Organization
Highline Medical Services Organization (HMSO) represents a network of primary care providers (PCPs) and specialists throughout Southwest King County and Highline Medical Center. We partner with insurance companies to offer comprehensive managed care to our community.
Please note: Before selecting a healthcare practitioner, please contact his or her office to confirm participation in the HMSO network.
The role of your Primary Care Provider (PCP) is to coordinate the healthcare you receive-whether it is office visits, physicals, tests, procedures or visits to a specialist. Your PCP will help you determine the best method of treatment. Having your PCP coordinate your care ensures constant communication among providers about your health.
Lack of communication can result in improper treatment, overmedication, repetition of expensive tests and possible misdiagnosis. In today's managed care environment, your PCP plays an instrumental role in providing quality care and meeting your healthcare needs.
HMSO is right here in your neighborhood, ready with the quality, personalized care you deserve. Our team of healthcare providers specializes in caring for families. A full range of medical, surgical and subspecialties supports your PCP, who may be a family practitioner, internist, pediatrician or nurse practitioner.
When you choose HMSO, you get not only your own primary care provider, but also the full benefit of the Highline Medical Center and its comprehensive services. Should hospitalization ever be necessary, our physicians will care for you at Highline Medical Center. In addition to having access to the Highline Medical Center, we have aligned with excellent regional medical centers for specialty services to better serve our community.
The Highline Medical Center offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the residents of Southwest King County. Primary and specialty care clinics are conveniently located in Burien, West Seattle, Renton, Tukwila, Des Moines, Normandy Park, Midway and Vashon Island.
At HMSO, we continually respond to needs that arise within our community. HMSO has pioneered the use of patient advocates to assist patients in times of personal or family crisis. Your PCP can refer you to a patient advocate for special assistance.
With our unique case management service, you benefit from the support of a social worker whose skills complement treatment and care by your PCP. Services include in-home assessments, monthly follow-ups and patient education.
