Russ

"It was amazing how fast the infection spread. Without the expert care I received at Highline, I’m not sure I’d be here today." Within an hour, what started as a small red mark near his elbow grew to the size of a golf ball. By the time Russ reached the Highline ER, it was the size of a tennis ball and he couldn’t bend his elbow. Upon arrival, he was immediately taken to a room, where a life-threatening staph infection was diagnosed and quickly treated with IV antibiotics. Russ is grateful for the expeditious care he received and for the way it was delivered. "Without exception, all of the medical staff, from the nurses to the physician on duty, were extremely attentive and very calming." He’s happy to be back on the greens, doing what he loves. And he’s glad the Highline ER is there for him. "I hate to think what might have happened if I’d had to drive to someplace farther away."
