Highline Medical Center Foundation
Highline Medical Center Foundation was established in 1981 as a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit to meet the health-related need of the people in Southwest King County.
Through philanthropy we support Highline Medical Center’s mission to provide excellent, compassionate, safe and accessible health care to the communities we serve.
Although Highline affiliated with Franciscan Health System in 2013, the Highline Medical Center Foundation remains independent and focuses on supporting Highline Medical Center programs, services, community outreach, medical equipment, and capital expenses. Since 1997, the Highline Medical Center Foundation has provided more than $17 million in support to the medical center, including raising $5.8 million for a new Emergency Department.
Community support through Highline Medical Center Foundation’s Annual Gala and Golf Tournament events provide a key source of funding for important Highline Medical Center needs, such as new state-of-the-art surgical equipment (Da Vinci robotic surgery), upgrades to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Cancer Center priorities.
The Foundation is currently raising funds for a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab and has provided support for important Highline priorities including: nursing staff education, CPR mannequins, new radiant heaters and carpet for our Cancer Center, gas and food cards for low-income cancer patients, weighted blankets for geriatric patients, and treadmills for cardiac patients.
