The Highline Wound Healing Institute is a dedicated, surgically driven outpatient program to help heal chronic wounds.
Our approach to wound healing involves controlling infection, improving vascular flow, actively debriding nonviable tissue and applying appropriate dressings. By healing chronic wounds quickly, we hope to avoid amputations and restore mobility to patients suffering from nonhealing wounds.
Patients who could benefit from this program would be those with:
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Arterial ulcers
- Surgical wounds that won't heal
- Infected wounds
- Injuries such as burns, bites, lacerations or contusions
- Any disease that causes nonhealing wounds, such as rheumatoid arthritis or gout as well as patients on medications such as steroids or oncology drugs
Our multidisciplinary team includes:

- Dr. Rena Wong, Plastic Surgeon
- Dr. Daniel Johnson, Podiatrist
- Dr. Daniel Greenan, Podiatrist
- Anni Lanigan, ARNP, Family Practice
- Kathy Campbell, RN, CWCN, Clinical Manager and Clinical Specialist. Responsible for program development and management of multidisciplinary care team comprised of physician and nurse staff dedicated towards the care of chronic wounds through the use of evidence based practice and specialized treatment modalities.
We have an experienced and knowledgeable team of licensed staff trained in wound care. We are practicing a consistent set of proven clinical pathways. This, coupled with state-of-the-art outcomes and a reporting system secured by the hospital, enable us to offer patients the most current, advanced wound healing treatment options available.
