Patients undergoing outpatient surgeries can do so in the added comfort, privacy and efficiency of the Highline Surgery Center. This new facility is equipped with four, state-of-the-art operating rooms, a special step-down recovery unit and a traditional recovery room. We are committed to providing patients with access to the latest technology to ensure the highest quality care. Patient safety and comfort are the primary focus of our team of specially trained physicians and nurses.
A Comforting Environment
The Planetree philosophy is carried throughout every aspect of the Surgery Center. Our large waiting room windows, unique artwork, warm color scheme and comfortable furnishings create a real sense of coziness. We want to be sure that patients and their families feel a sense of calm and peacefulness during their time with us.
A New Concept in Recovery
Patients receiving local or monitored anesthesia can recover in the step-down unit instead of the recovery room. This unit has four private rooms with comfortable recliner chairs. Family members are welcome in the rooms with the patients following their procedures.
Care Partner Program
When patients and their family are partners in care, everyone benefits. One way we encourage involvement is through the Care Partner Program. This program offers patients the option to designate a family member or friend as a care partner who is able to provide comfort and assistance. Care Partners are provided with the information they need to care for the patient after they have returned home.
Helping You Towards Recovery
We recognize that having surgery can be stressful so it is our goal to reduce any concerns our patients may have. To save our patients time, we gather most of their pre-operative information over the phone several days before surgery to ensure a smooth registration process. We believe that it is important to provide our patients and their families with as much information as possible about what they can expect during surgery. Pre-operative teaching and careful follow-up instructions for home care help patients and those caring for them to feel more confident. We want to be sure all questions are answered.
