Specialty Campus ER Moves to Main Campus

On Tuesday, December 20, 2011, Highline’s Specialty Campus in Tukwila (Riverton) will move and become part of the recently expanded ER on Highline’s Main Campus in Burien. Merging our two ERs into one, state-of-the-art facility will enable us to continue providing high-quality care, while eliminating costly duplication of services. Highline’s Main Campus ER, which opened in 2010, is large enough to meet the needs of the community. It is equipped with the latest technology and designed to make care faster and more comfortable.

We recognize that people often go to the ER on evenings and weekends because they need to be seen right away and it is their only choice. To address this and assure that the community has access to after-hours care, Highline is partnering with HealthPoint to develop an urgent care clinic, which will open at the Specialty Campus in early February. In addition, Highline has recently opened new urgent care clinics in Des Moines and West Seattle. Both offer care seven days a week and weekday evenings, with no appointment necessary.

Of course, the best choice for managing your healthcare is a strong relationship with a primary care provider. Highline’s network includes more than 250 primary care and specialist physicians across southwest King County, including in Tukwila, SeaTac and Burien.
