Asthma is a chronic disease that can affect persons of all ages. It is one of the fastest growing diseases in the U.S. Most important, asthma can be life-threatening if not properly managed.
The Asthma Self-Care Program is designed to work with you and your physician in the management of your asthma symptoms. It is designed to educate you to understand your asthma symptoms and their treatment. This means that when you experience symptoms, they will be less severe and you will know how to effectively respond to them.
The goals of the program are to:
