A Comprehensive, Hospital-Based Program Built Around the Needs of the Individual

At Highline Addiction Recovery Center, patients benefit from an innovative program that combines the best of inpatient and outpatient care. Our seamless continuum of care provides medically based treatment throughout every stage of recovery — from emergency detoxification to outpatient counseling.

Because we offer such a broad range of options, the program can be customized to meet the needs of each patient. In addition, our intimate care setting allows us to provide more personal attention and to get to know patients and their families on a first name basis. In fact, patients often see the same counselors throughout the entire program. Key program components include:

Medical Detoxification -— The potential complications of withdrawal are best managed in a hospital, under the direction of a physician. In Highline's inpatient detoxification unit, patients are closely monitored during withdrawal by our medical director and a team of nurses and counselors. We admit patients 24 hours a day on an emergent basis.

Inpatient Stabilization — This one- to two-week program is designed to optimize care with minimal disruption to patients' lives. The program includes medical treatment to stabilize the patient's condition, lectures, individual and group therapy sessions and 12-step meetings. The focus is on building a sober support network, anticipating potential relapse scenarios and creating strategies for staying clean and sober.

Intensive Outpatient Program — Here, patients get a rigorous chemical dependency program with the flexibility to continue with their current work or school obligations. IOP includes lectures and individual and group counseling, along with 12-step meetings. We teach patients stress management, relapse prevention and recovery and life skills. The outpatient program meets treatment requirements for DUI and other legal offenders. Day and evening groups are available.
